Product Description We've all got something on video cassette that we'd like to be able to keep forever whether it's your daughters wedding footage of the kids when they were young or simply a recording of a television programme that's never going to be on air again. The problem is that video cassettes are fragile and with every watch the tape is becoming slightly more erroded and more liable to break. EZ Grabber October 11, 2008 A. Walker (UK) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
Having purchased this to capture Video for a VCR with a VHS-C adaptor, I can only say i'm delighted.
Sure is was a bit fiddly to set up, but if you are in the uk just select PAL_BDHIG in the EZ Grabber Video Format window and you are away, it couldn't be simpler.
The device works every time, I have captured over 90 mins of video without so much as a hitch.
Great product for the price
BTW I was using it with XP Pro, 2 different machines, and it worked fine first time on both
Excellent January 6, 2009 Jc Jones (South Wales) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This product works excellently, all it takes is two things to set it up, patience & perservience. It took me a while to get everything sorted from downloading the software to establishing the workings of ez grabber but was well worth the effort (and time)!. I did at first think I had wasted my money but as soon as I got it working I don't think anything more costly would do any better. I would definately recommend this product, easy to use and superb picture quality. Why purchase anything expensive when this great gadget does it all for a fraction of the cost? Highly recommended.
Good product August 7, 2008 Mr. Brian Calvert (N. Ireland) 28 out of 30 found this review helpful
A very good product, well worth the money. I can import video from my digital camera, Sky television, Freeview, analogue television, from my VCR, old DVDs (the latest are too well protected) and commercial VHS tapes. Simple to use. Excellent quality for analogue to digital conversion - much cheaper than buying a DVD combi device. I use Serif MoviePlus 5 to manipulate content and Windows DVD Maker to burn to disc. Works well with the composite input signal. Buy it!

I have since tried out this product and it is not compatible with Adobe Premier Elements 4 or Corel (Ulead) Video Studio 11. It says "missing capture plugin". But it does work fine with Serif MoviePlus 5 and Cyberlink Power Director 5. Elsewhere on Amazon you will see this product for sale bundled with PD5.

You obviously need the correct combination of hardware and software. The first rule of computers - compatability!!

Bought this after seeing a video review on line from the Gadget show. Was a bit worried as i am running VISTA Ultimate edition 64bit and some of the reviews were not to good.
In the end it was really easy to setup (ran with the Vista drivers) and after relising i needed a scart to 3-phono adaptor that was bi-direction worked a treat. So am now in the process to converting everything.
Positive Feedback For the EZ Grabber October 25, 2009 Mr. J. H. Hogg (Durham UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
New EZ Grabber USB 2.0 Video Capture-Convert Video+Audio from VHS, V8, Hi8, Camcorder, Video Recorder, DVD player or Satellite TV receiver etc to DVD/VCD (Incl Ulead VideoStudio 10 SE DVD + 3RCA male to male cable, supports Windows XP/Vista)
I bought an EZ grabber to try to convert some 40 Y.O. video recordings which had been converted from 8mm cine camera footage to video years ago, valuable family records. I read all reviews and was apprehensive because of all of the negative reviews I read, however I pressed on because the cost of the grabber is so cheap I thought what can I lose? My video player is also a very cheap old Sony Hi- Fi Sterio,DA Pro 4 head. The software installed pretty easily on both my Toshiba Vista and my HP XP, I plugged in the USB with the male to male cable adaptor supplied and connected into the only outlets on the back of my video player (RED & White), Switched on the player and the grabber but got no vision at all though some sound. I tried all of the settings but no joy. I bought a cheap, scart plug in, adaptor (which I advise you purchase when you order the EZ grabber),plugged it into the scart socket on the back of the video player, switched it to output position and plugged in the RW&Y lead plugs from the grabber and it worked beautifully. My Windows moviemaker doesn't like it but I have Nero and best of all, Sony Movie Studio Platinum, where I have been able to edit and add audio music and voiceover narration the results are really pleasing. Old video will always be old video, but I have got the very best qulity I could have hoped to achieve. Good Luck.

The best bargain I have purchased. This TV (Hannspree) looks and sounds better then the well known brands, but at half the price £299. Thanks! A H London |
