I used to use discs from another manufacturer, but decided to try Verbatim as they were more cost-effective, and other customer reviews suggested there were less "failures" with the lightscribe.
This has proved to be the case, I've had no problems using these discs at all.
One minor niggle is that the discs do not come in different background colours. But of course that doesn't affect their performance, which is very good. I'll stick with Verbatim in future.

Discs promptly deliverd and work well. Lightscribe is of course in mono not colour and best using the best image quality software setting.
Fast Delivery May 15, 2010 K. Wilby I haven't used the product yet but, being Verbatim, I'm not expecting any issues. This is a comment about the speed of delivery from this Merchant. The free delivery option is supposed to take a week or so but this item arrived (from Jersey to NW England) within two days. Very impressive.

Both the data and the labbelling sides worked fine on my HP laptop. (using Ulead DVD movie factory 6 for both burning and labelling) Labelling a full 12cm disc takes about 22minutes on increased contrast and best quality settings. Used more than 35of these already, because lightscribe DVDs cost exactly the same as regular DVDs so i see no point in using non-lightscribe DVDs anymore. Why are they so cheap? - you may ask. It's because they dont actually do that much. They have a rather low "resolution" you can see some blocks and squares in you want to print fine drawings, you can also see the rings from burning the images, they smell of graphite, are easy to damage (even permanently damaged by greasy fingers) and they fade with time. The printed discs look literally like someone just sketched something onto the discs. But this isnt the fault of these discs its juts the technology. And would the discs cost a penny more i'd use regular ones.
Anyone who has a little money to spare i'd reccomend using labelflash technology. Much clearer, much higher resolution images, no circle marks, more shiny, and just prettier on the whole. The end result looks like real engraved images within the disc > not on top. Labelflash has much more shades of the color so much nicer images can be printed. Will upload some comparison pictures soon. Thanks for reading.

The best bargain I have purchased. This TV (Hannspree) looks and sounds better then the well known brands, but at half the price £299. Thanks! A H London |
