Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Tired of DVD labels that eventually get sticky or peel off?
Want to burn your own silkscreen-quality labels directly on DVDs?

Here's how: create labels with text, photos, and art on your PC, then use LightScribe technology to transfer them to these discs.

Each DVD supplies 4.7Gb of storage for your photos, music, videos, and data. When you finish writing a DVD, just turn it over; the same drive burns the label.

I am very pleased with the picture quality, although I have nothing to compare it with as this was the first time using my LightScribe drive. No problems with data transfer. Nice selection of colours. Will buy again.

Compared to standard DVD-Rs these are pretty expensive, but they do look nice- you get 2 discs of 5 colours- turquoise, orange, yellow, green and red. Like the other infiniti lightscribe discs these didn't work on my laptop drive (probably because HP haven't bothered to update the firmware!) but they work fine on my desktop's LG drive. Note they are Lightscribe v.1.2 not 2 (there is no such thing as v.2).

4 out of 5 stars lightscribes not naff   April 29, 2009

Have been using my lightscribe writer since I got it in the January sales, the discs come in five colours, the yellow and orange are a little close together in shade, the green and blue too if your eyesights a bit off, but otherwise fine. the shades are also not too vibrant, these discs let me colour code things and then "photo label" them. as I work with people with learning difficulties these are very useful, discs can be individualised, are robust and the labels can not be peeled off (something that often happens), are not to hard on the eyes and, overall, are cheap. the copy quality seems as good as other (more expensive) discs I have used. hopefully there will be more colour choice in the future, pastels, vibrant, metallic? all works for me.

3 out of 5 stars Not 100% but getting there   November 8, 2009

If you are going to the trouble of buying lightscribe media, then the discs become doubly important. First of all you want reliable media with minimal data transfer errors. Second you want the lightscribe aspect to be error free as well. What a pain when you have transferred your data across with no problems and then find that your drive does not burn on the label properly. Out of twenty discs, I only had data trasfer error on one disc, and a lightscribe burn error (unable to finish the label after about 5 min of an estimated 30min burn time) on one. For the most part I am using these to transfer tv program recordings from a digital hard drive recorder. I reckon the Infiniti discs are good for the job; data transfer is reasonably rapid and quality (number of faulty discs per pack) is a little better than most and the price is reasonable. I think next I will try some of the Infiniti standard lightscribe media for comparison.

5 colours each:- red, blue (not very- turquoisy perhaps), yellow orange and green). Contrast seemed best using the yellow. Pity one cannot buy larger quantities of the individual colours. The coloured discs do seem to be better than the ordinary lightscribe(which have a matt like finish- I bought Verbatim previously) These coloured ones have a glossy finish.

Bought this set on Tuesday, delivered Friday. Absolutely brilliant! Mr Parkin York

The best bargain I have purchased. This TV (Hannspree) looks and sounds better then the well known brands, but at half the price £299. Thanks!
