edit: discs not readable after 1 year!!! November 20, 2008 Florin Sasu (UK) 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
Edit: I'm sorry to inform you all that none of my Traxdata discs read after about 1 year since I wrote them!!!
I apologise for misleading rating, but I also learnt the hard way about these. They are not readable on PS3 fat or slim and not on my pc drive LG GGW-H20L. Recovery programs can hardly read any data from them. Spend more money on TDK or Verbatim if you care about your data.
AVOID TRAXDATA BD-R!!!

I just thought I'd provide some info for tech users.
from atip: BD-R (Disc ID: RITEK-BR2-00) (Speeds: 2x; 4x)
While verifying read speed was 3.0x avearge, 3.9 max. All went OK.
If you have GGW-H20L, like myself, do not update the firmware to YL05! It will read and write with 1x (these blanks and generally poor performance even with bd-roms). Fortunately, I could downgrade to YL04 and everything is back to normal now. I'll contact LG, maybe they'll sort it out in the next firmware.
So far so good! March 20, 2010 S. Quinn 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ones I burnt a year ago on my Pioneer burner still read fine so far. Not a single burn failure on any either.
Excellent value March 16, 2009 G. P. Carter (Ashford, Middx, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I didn't have much luck with my first batch... but then updated the firmware on my LG drive. Since then, everything's worked fine. These are really good value blu-rays.
So far so good November 27, 2009 james19635 So far I've burnt two discs, both with no problems. The first was from my PC using the LG BE06LU10 External Blu-Ray BD-RW / HD DVD-ROM retail kit; the second was with the Panasonic DMR-BS750EB. Both seem to work just fine. I have also printed on one of them using an Epson R2880 - again this worked fine. I have no idea how long they will last, but at the moment everything is fine.
Cheap and Easy November 23, 2009 Mr. Stephen Froud (County of Somerset, England) I bought these for the main reason that they were cheap, and not only that they worked great, easy to write on, didn't have a single problem.
Recomended, and purchasing another 10 pack right now!

Bought this set on Tuesday, delivered Friday. Absolutely brilliant! Mr Parkin York
The best bargain I have purchased. This TV (Hannspree) looks and sounds better then the well known brands, but at half the price £299. Thanks! A H London |
