I had been looking at upgrading to a flat screen for some time and the Sony Bravia was (after much deliberation and coin counting) the set that I wanted.
I did wait until the price fell before making the purchase, but this was definately the right product decision.
Asside from the excellent picture quality and sound, I was particularly looking for a unit which would take numerous inputs.
The Bravia, having 4 HDMI and 2 SCART, (plus composite and component) exceeded my needs and allowed me to dispose of my Video switching equipment. (One less pile of wires!)
The Digital terestrial reception is stunning in quality and out performs my cable TV box (currently wired on SCART RGB and now seriously threatened with an upgrade to a HD unit on HDMI link).
My son's game console gives fantastic picture quality on HDMI input.
The only downside is the location of the "front" input cluster. The composite video, audio and HDMI inputs (for casual / temporary use) are located on a recessed panel on the left of the unit at the rear. If you have your set mounted on the wall or near anything close to it's left hand side, it is not easy to connect the cables.
I also wanted a unit that could receive analogue UHF signals, which the Bravia can and allows easy switching between these and digital or other inputs.
I can honestly recommend this TV for it's stylish looks, numerous inputs and excellent sound and picture quality

Easy set up. Nice design. This is an upgrade to an older Sony Bravia - not disappointed by the new range.
Clear picture and good sound and at this price a bargin bit of top class kit. Great service and fast delivery from Reliant also.
