In a market which is predominantly dominated by LCD and Plasma screens, rear projection remains an excellent alternative. Early models tended to be bulky with poor picture quality. All of that has now changed and for screens over 50 inches, rear projectors are well worth considering. While not wall mountable, they are no longer massively bulky either, typically around 11 to 18 inches deep.

This was a big deal for us, the most expensive TV (Plasma!) we are ever likely to purchase. Did some research and opted for this model. It is quite simply superb and excellent service.
