5 out of 5 stars Quality gear   November 14, 2007

My first set has lasted me 5 years or more and I have no heistation in buying exactly the same again. Quality sound, comfy in the ear and does what it says on the tin really.

The only downside for me was the foam covering didn't last as long as the headphone so I bought new foam about a year ago. To be honest at this low price it probably works out cheaper to buy a new set of headphones than replace the foam. Bargain really.

5 out of 5 stars Best headphones I've ever had .... so far ...   February 18, 2010

Offering vastly superior sound quality compared to the default ipod earphones, I immediately ditched the white ones Apple provided and switched them for these - and I really can't go back. I've had a fair few headphones before these and none of them offer the same quality of bass that these can produce. I have had to replace mine a couple of times, although they do take a fair bit of bashing before you have to replace them - pretty intensive use could probably still give you at least a year of useful life.

When looking at these headphones again I noticed there are some who disagree and believe that the bass is of poor quality on these headphones. Whilst I am in no way qualified to make an expert judgement on this subject, I can attest that these headphones are perfectly adequete for most of the music that I listen to, standard pop, rock, country etc and classical music is also quite acceptable. However, I appreciate that some people may have a better view on this, so I will investigate the Sony Sony MDR-EX300SLB In-Ear Headphones with 13.5mm Driver Unit headphones, which are supposed to offer much better bass. Maybe that is true, but the bass on these headphones seems perfectly adequete to be honest!

Overall then, perfectly good headphones: good build quality, relatively durable, and adequete sound quality for most people. Also, the price makes them very good value too.

Highly recommend for most people.

Quality sound for little money. As long as you are ok with phones than sit against the ear rather than push in them then these are great value. Excellent response, firm bass, clear treble, not too much middle, comfortable for long term wear, not too much leakage, solid cable and connectors. All these low end Sony phones are very similar, some with volume controls, others with cases but generally all sound good. My last pair lasted 6 or 7 years of regular use and only broke when I tried to clean them and knocked the front off. Better than my Creative Lab in ear phones (woolly bass and too much middle) and not as detailed as my full size Sennheisers but at 1/10 the price it's hardy surprising. Bargain!

These have got to be my fave earphones so far. the Bass quality is extremely impressive! i always steal these earphones from my sister because mines suck! :P. Nearly everday when i have these earphones with me,i throw them in my ears and blast away to pendulum on the way back from school. A definite 5 stars!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent value and very solid product   October 19, 2007

These are the most comfortable in-ear headphones I've ever owned, they only cost a few quid and the sound quality is incredibly clear. There are only two faults here: firstly that on higher volumes these do suffer from some more leakage than you'd expect on average (though that is only if you really jam the sound up) and secondly that many report that after about six months they start to break down in one ear - doesn't matter though because these are such incredibly good value I will definitely just buy another pair once my current ones die on me.
Given that you can pick up a far inferior pair of headphones for twenty or thirty quid and these only come at just under four pounds (including p&p) there's not really a strong argument against buying these.
Close to the cheapest set on the market and easily one of the best.

The delivery was fast. I ordered it at 1 50 afternoon and the TV arrived in the early morning next day. All in all, for this price Sony 26V4000 is a wonderful purchase.

Bought this set on Tuesday, delivered Friday. Absolutely brilliant! Mr Parkin York

The best bargain I have purchased. This TV (Hannspree) looks and sounds better then the well known brands, but at half the price £299. Thanks!
