Fabulous! March 8, 2010 M. Wheeler (East Anglia) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Sennheiser are without a doubt the best of the best with regards to headphones. That's already a fact. So once you know what brand, it's all about the model.
Positives:
-These headphones are relatively cheap (certainly for good quality headphones anyway).
-They are medium sized so they cover the ears completely but are not too big so to look silly.
-The bass is brilliant. For mid priced headphones you would not expect such good sound. I really feel like i'm living the music when i have them on. It makes me want to get up and dance! (which when you're on a busy tube in London every day, can be a dangerous wish!)
-They are extremely comfortable. The soft cushions on the ears and on the top mean that they don't itch or put any extra pressure on your head, so you can wear them for hours.
-The wire that comes with them is extremely long (3m) and has a little box in the middle so that you can twist the unused wire around it so it does not get tangled. This is a fantastic feature!
Negatives:
-This is an overall negative with headphones of this type... When wearing them on the train etc, it is difficult to fall asleep with them on as when you put your head down the headphones will fall off, or become uncomfortable. Of course this is just me being picky as i have very little negatives.
-Whilst the sound generally stays inside the headphones, if you are in a moderately quiet room - others will be able to hear the music. It isn't obtrusive but you just need to be careful.
All in all, this product is great for its price. It's all about preference. The product is excellent, it serves its intended purpose and if the style is what you're after then why are you still waiting!?

great price and great sound, handy as it's cold in Scotland and these headphones help keep my ears toasty
Can't beat these for the price November 13, 2009 robotfish (London) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Having got through one pair of Bose OE (stolen), Sennheiser 212 pro (now attached to my guitar) and 2 pairs of ATH-SJ5 (cables broken) in less than a year I was surprised to find that there haven't been a pair of world beaters released with my wishlist for London commuting: closed back, folding, in-line volume, great sound, durable and with a big ear cup. The ATH were great - but really flimsy. So I had to compromise...or go for the Zaggphones which are not really taking off in the UK yet and have few reviews.
I got these as a stop-gap and am really surprised. The sound is very nearly as good as the 212 pros and the design is more subtle (as in, I don't look like a Cyberman when wearing these). They don't fold, they don't have inline, but they do feel strong, the sound is great and they isolate sound pretty well.
Big bass, very expansive midrange, slightly tinny top end is what you get. It is a natural, uncoloured reproduction and you hear very good instrument seperation.
One of the reasons the 212s got removed from the daily commute was the 3 metre cable. These too have the same length but Sennheiser have included a handy pocket/belt clip that you van wind the cord around.
My wife tells me I have a big head. They feel comfortable on my big head, but then my commute only lasts 45 mins.
Sennheiser Headphones November 9, 2009 Mr. K. BWAIL (Worcestershire, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For the cost these are an excellent set. Not as well built as more expensive Sennheiser models but its for kids and compared to the Sony ones I replaced the sound quality is a LOT better.
Thinking of these? November 4, 2009 Jason M. Gilbert 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
-these are my second pair of headphones (old ones were model below), if your like me and you read lots of reviews before you buy then your smart :) I was torn between these and another pair of 'open' Sennheiser headphones. I dont know a lot about them so i read a lot of reviews on this site. only thing i really wanted to know which I couldnt find was: yes they are very good for use with your iPod (and on bus/train) as they do NOT leak much sound at all, even when very loud! (which i found out after buying them myself) and I also happen to think they look pretty sweet :)
-I agree that they are slightly base heavy, but only a wee bit (I am not personally into heavy base tunes, unless its drum&bass ofc) so nothing to get hooked up on for the price.
-All in all, extremely happy, worth buying these instead of the model below and worth every penny!

Bought this set on Tuesday, delivered Friday. Absolutely brilliant! Mr Parkin York
The best bargain I have purchased. This TV (Hannspree) looks and sounds better then the well known brands, but at half the price £299. Thanks! A H London |
