I bought these Sennheisers when my standard Apple earphones disintegrated. Clearly these are far superior-the bass is great! Unfortunately, one of the few cons of the product is the noise interference you get whenever you move the wire-but you manage to get used to that after a while. Overall, they're well worth it!

It became an imperative to replace my existing Sony ear phones after they suddenly failed! I opted for Sennheiser CX 400 after perusing the various comments other purchasers made for this product. I have had these ear phones a relatively short time and was surprisingly impressed with their clarity of sound. The sound to my untutored ear appeared crisp and rich,and for the price this product represents good value. I can recommend these head phones as an alternative in the absence of any thing better.

The sound is great, as expected for this range of earphones. It is clear and faithfully reproduced. Mid frequencies are crisp and full, bass could be a bit stronger. The volume is rather lower than on the cx 300 but has a fine range. and the volume control doesn't seem to be that durable. The earphones are well made, the cable is springy and resistant to twisting and doesn't end up knotted-up.
Only down-side in my opinion: the cable is a Y shape and not a J as I thought by looking at the close-ups on the images.

After reading several of the other reviews on this product is decided to give them a go. They are a great mid priced ear phone with decent noise reduction and very good range from bass through to treble. Good design and comfortable due to the changeable ear buds so i guess they would fit other ears as well as mine. Only downside would be the excess packaging, but that's being picky. All in all a great set of ear phones if the budget fits.
