The faces make the DVD-Rs very easy to write on.
I've not had a coaster yet, and I'm half way through the 50.

Cut 50 had 3 failures, but at least one of those was caused my PC (actually Microsoft), not the DVDs. I was cutting and verifying each image for reliability. Don't attempt to run to much other heavy stuff when you're cutting DVDs from an image.
Tested them on a few DVD players and DVD recorders afterwards and they seemed OK. Had one person complaining but I suspect it's his DVD player, not the media.
Nice quality of printing on the DVD from a Canon Pixma ip4500, too.
